Happy New Year!

We had a great Christmas with our three boys, and are looking forward to a great new year. It has been so fun having Hayden in our home, his sweet spirit fills our hearts and home and we all love him so much. It has been almost four weeks and I am still trying to figure out how to take care of three and still get done all the things I used to. I think what I have to figure out is how to not worry if all the things I used to do don't get done! The laundry and vacuuming can wait! Colby and Cameron are great big brothers and are very eager to help me with the baby. They also loved Christmas. Santa sure found our house, he left way too many gifts! I am not sure who was more excited for Christmas morning, the kids or me. I love watching them open presents and seeing their reactions. Kids sure make the Holidays more fun. The best part of the whole day was watching the kids use their new sleds on a hill by our house! There was a jump already there and boy did they catch some serious air! Sledding is now Cam's favorite activity.

So farewell to the year 2007, and welcome 2008! 2008, the year I turn 30, ahhhhh!!! I am getting old!

IT"S A BOY!!!

It's a boy, and I have to say I am not surprised. I knew he was a boy and I could not be happier. He is perfect and gorgeous and as sweet as can be.
He was 8 lbs 4 oz 21inches and is the spitting image of my other boys. His name is Hayden R Davis. We are home now and Colby and Cameron are loving having a baby brother. I will give more details and pictures soon, for now I am just to darn tired to sit here and type.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yesterday this snow storm hit and totally took me by surprise. I had no idea that we were going to get a storm like this. We got about 8 inches or more and it was so cold. We really need the snow but I am just not ready for it. The kids however were so excited!! Cameron loves to play in the snow, and will shovel the driveway and sidewalks all day! I won't complain about that! The boys played outside until about 10pm, they were having so much fun. Our drive way is kinda steep so they were sliding down it and having a great time! First thing this morning they were back out there and finally came in to warm up a little. I can't complain about the snow when it is totally entertaining the kids! We are supposed to have nice weather most of next week, but then another storm on the weekend. I am really hoping this baby cooperates and comes before the next storm so my mom can get up here. One thing about the snow yesterday did have me a little worried, if I had gone into labor, I would never have made it down Provo Canyon in time. I would've had to have the baby in Heber. But that didn't happen so I don't have to worry! The joys of winter travel, I hate it!! The snow was also great for the ski resorts. So any of you ski people, come on up.

What baby??????????

So it's not looking like I am going to make my weekly goal again. Dang, I will be 0 for 2. This baby is just not acting like it wants to be born at all, no signs what so ever. So I am just telling everyone that asks about the baby......,baby????? What baby?????????????????????????????????????????????/

Cameron's "Makeup" Day

Last week Cam's teacher had to cancel class, so this Friday they are having a "makeup" class. When we told Cam about the makeup day he looked really confused and asked why they have to have a "makeup" class, why do boys need to put on makeup? We tried to explain that "makeup class" didn't mean that you put on makeup, but he is still confused. He keeps asking me if he has to bring some of my makeup, or do they just talk about what kind of makeup their mom's wear! He is so funny about it. He just wants to be sure that he does not have to put on makeup! Can you believe that a boy that would dress like this would be concerned about putting on makeup?!!

I Don't like having a Smile on my face!

Yesterday, Colby was having kind of a rough day, well for a 6 year old anyway. He says some really off the wall stuff when he is grouchy and here is what he came up with yesterday. "Sometimes I usually don't like having a smile on my face, I just like having a normal face." Colby dear I love you so, your happy smiling face, is such a joy to look at. You make home a lovely place. That's the song that popped into my head so I started singing it to him only to make him more mad! Gotta love being the mom!

Vote!!!!

Hey everyone!! Don't forget to vote on my baby poll. Maybe if we get enough girl votes it will be a girl!!! Yeah yeah, I know it's a little to late to do anything about it being a boy or girl, but lets see how many of you guess right. Only 5 days left to vote.

It's the Christmas Season!!!

So last week I had good intentions of posting something that I am thankful for everyday, but as you can see, that didn't happen. So since the week has past, I will start a new goal. The goal this week......to have this baby!! I can't believe that I let my husband talk me into not finding out if it's a boy or a girl. I am going crazy!!!!! Literally crazy. Only 9 days until my due date, but if this child loves me, it will come before that to save it's poor mother what little sanity she has left. Wish me luck!!
On a different note, it is Christmas time!!! I love Christmas time. I love the music, smells, lights, shopping, movies, decorations, everything! This is the first year we will spend Christmas in our own home and I am really excited. Since we have always been gone from home we have never had our own Christmas tree. It has been fun buying ornaments and things to decorate. The kids helped me put stuff up yesterday, and I just love it!! I am excited to have a brand new baby for Christmas too! And playing Santa is so much fun. I can't wait for Christmas morning with my kids! Yeah for Christmas!
And I have to put in a mention about yesterday's football games. The Cougars pulled it out again to beat Utah, it was awesome! And how about the SJ Redskins winning state! Congrats boys!!
Anyway... Merry Christmas!

A Few Favorite Baby Things

Since it has been almost 5 years since I last had a baby, I am loving shopping for new baby stuff. Things have changed so much and the accessories are so much cooler and cuter! I am having the hardest time deciding on which diaper bag to get; Petunia Picklebottom, JuJu Bee, Bumble Bags... what a horrible problem to have!!! Also, have any of you seen these nursing covers by BeBe Au Lait? I have one and can't wait to use it, they are way cool. And the Taggies Blankets and toys, I love them, I hope the baby does too! Anyway... if anyone else has favorite baby things please do share.

Did You Know???

I saw this today and thought I would share it. It's always fun to learn somthing new!

Ever wonder why annoying someone is called "getting his goat"?For reasons that are unclear, the presence of a goat can have a calming effect on a horse, and this fact has been used by horse trainers in the past to calm high-strung animals. Once quieted in this manner, a horse becomes very agitated if the goat is taken away. (From Ever Wonder Why by Douglas B. Smith).

More Favorite Pictures

These pictures are from about 18 months ago in Colorado. My boys used to sit out on the curb waiting for the neighbor kids to get home from school and play. They were so faithful everyday! I think these pictures capture the memory very well.

Soaked!

These are just s couple of my favorite pictures from this summer. They are at the 24th Parade in SJ when the fire truck was spraying all the kids with water. I think its cool how the camera captured Colby just standing there getting soaked! The other picture is of Bayli, Kent & Lisa's daughter. You can see the fun in their expressions!

It's a Hard Knock Life

Toy room update: The other day I posted a picture of the kids toy room and said that I was going to make them clean it up when they woke up in the morning. Well, when the kids got up, I fed them then told them to get upstairs and start cleaning. They tromped up the stairs huffing and puffing and then I hear Cameron tell Colby, "Lets sing It's a Hard Knock Life for Us while we clean." They have been watching the movie Annie! Then they ask if I can turn the song on because it is not fair that they have to clean. Seriously where do they get the idea that it's not thier job to clean up their own messes. Colby is always telling me that he just wants his life to be 100% fun! I try and explain that having work to do is just part of being alive but it doesn't sink in! Oh to be 6 again when life was pretty much 100% fun. Anyway... here is a picture of the sweet little guys and thier clean toy room! I had to bribe them to smile! jk.
