he found this funny cartoon and couldn't wait to show me!!  I wonder if he is trying to tell me something??? It's not like I don't already know that there is always someone WRONG on the internet!!!  He couldn't be trying to tell me that I spend/waste to much time on the internet could he?!

Trick-or-Treaters of 2005

Neither one of these cute little boys would sitck their hands in the pumpkin to clean it out!  Cameron was only 2 yrs old and Colby was 4, I forget how darn cute they were!

Cameron the caterpillar!  This was the last year that I got to decide what he would be for Halloween.

Colby wanted to be Batman because the year before he was Robin, so he has both costumes!  He wore the thing for months, and still likes to wear it sometimes!

We were living in Utah for Halloween of 2005.  Unlike Tempe, it really felt like Halloween.

Watch out bad guys.....Halloween 2004

Since 2004 was the first Halloween that we had a digital camera I will start here. I would really like to start with Colby's first Halloween but that would require finding the pictures and scanning them and I just don't have the time right now. gees that was a long sentence....


In 2004 Colby was 3 and Cam was 18 months. We were living in Tempe at the time so of course we went to St. Johns for Halloween. In my opinion there is no better place to be. What with cousins galore to Trick-or-treat with and Grandma's, Aunts & friends all waiting to spoil the little monsters where else would we want to be. As I type this I am making myself extremely homesick, maybe and impromptu trip next Friday is what I need!

Colby was totally into the cartoon Teen Titans and knew 6 months before Halloween that he wanted to be. The day that the Party Store had costumes out we were there buying Robin and Colby wore the thing everyday! I still miss my little Super Hero, he was so adorable and strong out to rid the world of bad guys!
Cameron was still at the mercy of mom as to what he got to be for Halloween. I saw this cute Pumpkin at the second hand store and knew that my Cameron would be so stinking cute in it, and warm to, that I had to have it. He did not disappoint, he was a doll and I could not get enough of him.

This year I can't wait for Hayders to were his costume, poor guy will be so sick of my squeezes and kisses, but he looks so freakin' cute! Ya'l will have to wait until Halloween to see him in it!

In the next few days leading up to Halloween, my goal is to post the following years and the previous years as well. Wish me luck!! Life seems to have gotten busier in the last couple of weeks, I hate it.!

I got some Mail for You!

Hey! I got some Mail for you, I got some Mail for you!
This is what my favorite little neighbor boy was yelling as he came zooming up to my house on his bike. He handed an envelope to Cam and said, "here I got you some mail, open it." But Cam didn't open it fast enough so he took it from Cam and opened it and came running up to me saying, "I got you some mail!"

This is what he handed me, a note card that he had written some letters and numbers on! He was so proud of himself and I couldn't help but be proud that he had thought of us when he wanted to write someone a letter! He is 4 and in preschool and comes to play as often as he can. When I ask him how old he is he says, 60 80 92, always the same numbers! This cute little kid and his sweet "mail for me" made my day!

The Haunted Train of Provo Canyon

What do you do when family comes to town and it's Halloween time and you need to entertain 7 crazy boys and you live in Heber?

You ride the Haunted Train.

After visiting here for 6 years and living here for almost 2 this was the first time that we had rode the train that runs literally 200 yards from our house. It scared Colb and Cam so bad that they never want to ride it again!! I guess it took Kelli and Brandt coming up from AZ to get us to ride it, thanks guys I thought it was fun, and after a couple of days the boys are ready to do it again!!!

And a big thanks to Mark who humbly opted to stay home with Hayden. However, after the disappointing loss our favorite football team endured, I bet Mark would have rather been with us.

Cousins came to town

Over the weekend some of our Arizona cousins came to visit! Kelli and Brandt and their three cute boys came from AZ and Brandi and Adrian came down from Ogden. Out of seven children there was not a girl child to be had, 7 boys, oh the fun!

Whenever I start going crazy or imagining my life when my boys are teenagers and eating me out of house and home, all I have to do is call Kelli and she will sympathize because she will be going through the same thing! Kel, I'm so glad you have three boys too!!! And Brandi, I hope you get two more boys so we can call you too!! Seriously though, I loved having Kelli here for the day. She has always been a sister to me but for the last 10 years we have lived so far apart our lives kinda did the same. Thankfully though, no matter how long it has been since we have seen each other it never seems like more than a day, and the fact that Brandt and Mark get along really well helps too. She has, next to mine :), the three cutest boys ever. My boys love her boys and can't stop talking about them. Her boys have the sweetest voices ever and should really be on TV as voices for cartoons-why don't you check that out Kel? If her blog wasn't private I'd tell you to take a look at her cute family, but since it is private and you can't look just take my word for it. My selfish hope is that someday they will move up here so that our kids can grow up together like Kelli and I did.

These two cute babies were born only 24hours apart and the little one on the right is already walking! Holy Cow I'm glad Hayders isn't there yet my house isn't ready for that, I'm not ready for that!

Waiting for the train to arrive so we could get on and scare the kids to death! I had no idea that it would be so scary for the poor kids.  The youngest one on the left wasn't scared a bit, he laughed at the people trying to scare him, however, the other four were scared to death. 

If this kid isn't cute.... he is just as fun as he is cute.  We need to live closer to these cousins.

This baby was a trooper, he didn't complain a bit about the scary train ride or the cold!

On a cold day in October

this is how I entertain my kids, build them a FORT! You have to use every chair and almost every blanket in your house. It has to have a really long tunnel as the entrance and blankets have to cover every side completely. After much fussing with the blankets and chairs, it's just right. Normally something like this would bug bug bug me and I would not allow it in my living room, but since it entertained all THREE of my boys and half the neighborhood too, I let it stay up all day long!! This was on Tuesday, today Friday, the 4 yr old oh so high maintenance neighbor boy walked in, instantly burst into tears and said, "oh man, what did Cameron D do with the fort? why did he take it down? make it back I want to play in it!" He left mad at me because I wouldn't make the fort and I wouldn't give him candy! I think I found an entertainment for the long winter ahead! YEAH!!

Jaime is Awesome!

Many of you may know and have probably seen how talented my cousin Jaime is, and if you haven't you should check her out! I asked her to make these birth announcements of my kids so that I can print them and frame them. I wanted them to reflect the scrapbooking styles from the year each baby was born and I think she did a great job. For some reason they got out of order and I just don't have time to fix them, but you can tell by looking that they are from different years starting with Colby's from 2001. When Colby was born I didn't send out birth announcements so I didn't do so with any of my kids but I thought it would be nice to have one for posterity's sake. So if any of you would like to have announcements made for your kids, even if they are grown and gone, Jaime can do it. She also does wedding announcements too. Oh, and she owns a really great online scrapbooking company www.simplyobsessed.com

Spread the Wealth around says Obama

Ok, so I don't claim to know much at all about politics but I have been trying to educate myself more as of late.  We did not watch the debate last night so today I have been reading some of the articles on the internet.  This one on CNN I feel really puts it perfectly clear what will happen if Obama is elected.   SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND.  Thats right, those who make more than $250,000 will be taxed more so that Pres. Obama can spread the wealth around.  Now I don't by any means fall into the $250,000 dollar tax bracket so the tax breaks would help me, but I don't think it's fair at all to tax those who do, I don't want any of their wealth spread around to me.  Let them spread it around themselves it's their money.  Gees, I somtimes wish to be a kid again and not have to be intune to these things!!


(CNN) -- A week ago he was a little-known plumber quietly practicing his trade in northwestern Ohio. Now Joe Wurzelbacher is a talking point in the race for the White House.

1 of 2 Wurzelbacher, now dubbed "Joe the Plumber," heard his name invoked in whole or in part more than two dozen times during Wednesday's presidential debate in Hempstead, New York, first by Sen. John McCain and then by Sen. Barack Obama.

"I was just really surprised that my name was mentioned," he told reporters after the debate. "I think it helped them get their points across, so I was happy about that."

Wurzelbacher, 34, unintentionally stepped onto the political scene over the weekend when Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, was campaigning in Holland, Ohio, just west of Toledo. Watch Wurzelbacher's take on the candidates »

In that exchange Wurzelbacher asked Obama if he believed in the American Dream. Wurzelbacher said he was about to buy a company that makes more than $250,000 a year and was concerned that Obama would tax him more because of it.

Families making more than $250,000 could see taxes go up under Obama's middle-class tax cut plan, while those making less than $250,000 would not see any increase. See debate highlights, analysis »

Obama explained his tax plan in depth to Wurzelbacher, saying it's better to lower taxes for Americans who make less money so they can afford to patronize his business.
"I think that when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody," Obama told Wurzelbacher.

At the debate, McCain said Obama's plan would give the government the power to redistribute wealth by raising taxes.
"We're going to take Joe's money, give it to Sen. Obama, and let him spread the wealth around. I want Joe the plumber to spread the wealth around," McCain said.
He added, "Why would you want to increase anybody's taxes right now? Why would you want to do that to anyone, anyone in America, when we have such a tough time?"

Obama countered that both he and McCain want to cut taxes, but that his plan would cut taxes for "95 percent of American families," more than McCain's plan.

Although Wurzelbacher wouldn't say who he is voting for, he did say that Obama's tax plan doesn't sit well with him. "Redistributing the wealth, as far as my hard work, that upsets me," he said. "That's not right. That's not American."

Yesterday I gave Hayden his first haircut. His hair was getting really long over his ears and kinda scraggly (is that a word?). I hated to do it, to cut off his cute baby hair. I will say that it looks a lot better but sadly he looks older too. He of course didn't hold still for a second which makes it impossible to get any straight lines, but he's a baby so it doesn't matter. At least it's still that great Strawberry blonde/ Sundried Tomato color!

I'm doomed

Do you see the cute little snowman that my cute little boy made? Do you know what that means? It snowed yesterday!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH
I don't know if I have said it before but, I HATE SNOW I HATE WINTER.
I was telling Mark today that I know my hatred and fear of winter is bad when I am not happy to see Christmas decorations in the stores. It is really making me sad that I am not happy to see the signs of Christmas, it is my favorite time of year, I love it, I love the decor, the lights, the smells, the songs, the cheer, and everything else that goes with Christmas. But NO, not this year, my love of Christmas is being hindered by my DREAD of winter, so I say GO AWAY MR. WINTER I want to love Christmas time.

Fall Color

Yeah I know I am a little late in posting these pictures because it doesn't look like this anymore, but it did and it was GORGEOUS! For those of you who don't live here, or live where you don't get to see the leaves change, I feel bad for you. But don't worry, I'll enjoy it for you.

Note the snow on the mountain in this picture. It was the first new snow of the season. I found that I was quite depressed that day just from seeing snow. I am really not ready for snow.

A little Festive

Halloween / Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the crisp mountain air, the sweet smells, football games, rides in the colorful mountains, fall food and the list goes on and on.  Since I finally have my own house I decided to try out a few new decorating ideas.  I want to create something fun that can become a tradition that my kids will remember.  I am not sure that I hit a home run this year with my table decor but it was fun and I think it looks cool!  Cameron helped me put up a few things on the front porch but since it's 58 degrees below zero tonight  I am not going to go out and take a picture, maybe another day. 

The above picture is of my CLEAN room and my mantle, I should have zoomed in closer to see the mantle better but you get the picture!  And just pretend that you don't see our big old lunker of a tv, Mark has a new HDTV in his dreams and that has to be good for the time being!

I got the nice "stem ware"! at Pier One-hopefully I can find other fun uses for them throughout the year, maybe a fancy dinner with my husband will have to be planned.  And I have decided that I want to start collecting candle holders/candle sticks, I love them. The tall ones in this picture I got for my wedding, the others I got from Mark's grandma's house. (I saw the exact set in an Antique store last week for a pretty good price!)  I have some other fun ones that I will use at Christmas. 

This pumpkin I got at Swiss Days this year.  For about 7 years I have been wanting to but this so to celebrate our new status as "home owners" I bought it for us!  It was on my table until the Halloween stuff went up, and after Halloween it will go back on the table.
