5 Months Old

5 months old already!
She is the most darling happy baby ever.
She rolls over, trys really hard to sit up.
Wants to eat whatever the person holding her is eating & moms hair.
She loves to laugh and smile, especially at her brothers & dad.
She sits up like a BIG girl in shopping carts and her highchair.
She also missed her big brother Colby a whole lot!

Red, White & Blue for Colby Dee

Colby is still in Arizona and we miss him and he misses us!
So Colby these pictures are for you.
We'll see you on Saturday Buddy.  We LOVE YOU!

Cousins

We had such a good time with the Zieler's this past weekend.  Our kids love to be together and it makes me happy that our kids know each other.

JJ was so much help with Clara.  I really wish she lived a little closer to help me out more!
Thanks JJ!

We also have Davis cousins in town.  Jacob went to basketball camp last week with Colby and Cameron.

The two babies, Annie & Clara at the park.  I will have to get a better picture of these babies.  They love to smile at each other.

Roll over

Clara Belle can now roll over!  She has been trying to for a couple of weeks and finally succeeded a few days ago.  Her brothers were all sitting by her when she did and they were so excited for her!
She always trys to sit up and reaches for everything.  She also gets really excited about food and wants to eat everything she sees.  I let her have a few licks of an icecream bar yesterday and she was smacking her lips and begging for more!  TOO CUTE!
Her laugh is probably the sweetest sound on earth and I am thankful that we get to hear it lots of times a day.
She really is a Happy Baby, and she couldn't be cuter either.

THIS STINKS!

Last Monday we woke up to our garage and cars smelling like a SKUNK, and our trash can had been raided and trash strewn all over the lawn.  One week, four car washes, two bottles of Febreeze, one big bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar and lots of scrubbing and airing out later,  my car still smells like a skunk.
BUG!
That same day my in-laws had two skunks in their window well!  I think it was a plan of the skunks to bug the Davis' that day.

We LOVE to FISH

My Uncle and cousins were coming up to Utah to attend BYU football camp.  Mark and I were determined to make them fall in love with Utah.  One good way to do that, take them fishing at the most gorgeous fish pond in Utah where the fishing is as good as the views.
Our determination paid off and they all did fall in love with Utah well, at least fishing in Utah!!
This was also Clara's very first fishing trip and she loved it!!
How do I know she loved it?  Well, because she was sweet and smiley the whole time.
Ok, she is always sweet and smiley but she did love it!

I'm not sure who was having more fun, Jake or Hayden!

We were all pretty proud of Colt for catching his first fish!
Cameron begs to do this everyday.  You would all be proud if you could see him cast a line, I'm pretty sure he's better at it than I am.

Great Finish

Our resident Yankee finished his season in 2nd place. The Championship game was really close and the boys played their hearts out. I'm pretty sure though that going to get ice cream after the game was the high-lite of the whole season for Colby!

Colby has been a pretty busy boy the last couple of months. He had baseball for 8 weeks then right into a week long basketball camp which he LOVED and wished it went on all summer. We also had family at our house for two weeks for Colby to play with. The crowning point of the summer though is that yesterday Colby got to go to St. Johns with the Zielers. He will be there for about 2 weeks without mom or dad. In Colb's own words, "there is not a more fun place on the whole earth than SJ!" As he was leaving he kept kissing his little sister and saying "i'm gonna miss you so much Clara." It was just an after thought to give his mom a hug! I'm really glad that he could go. Thanks Zieler's and Grandma for taking care of him!

I miss you COLBY!!

Summer Baseball

Today is Cam's last baseball game of the summer. He was on the A's team again.
Cam is a really good hitter and a pretty good third baseman too!
I am happy to finally have baseball over with. It got a little hard having Colby and Cameron playing at the same time at fields across town from each other.

16th Birthday Fish

Happy 16th Birthday to Colt!
We were lucky enough to have our cousin Colt staying with us on his 16th birthday.  We had fun teasing him that most boys his age go on their first date or get their drivers license but all Colt got to do was catch his first fish!
Good job Colt! I think he actually caught 3 fish that night.

The Bullet

Colby's 2nd Pinewood Derby was much better than his first. MANY THANKS TO HIS DAD!!
Colby designed and named the car "The Bullet" and he won THIRD PLACE overall! It is fun to see all of the great ideas that the boys/dads come up with.
Two derby's down and only 7 more to go!!

Bruders to the Rescue

I mean my Bruders to the Rescue!
Most of you know that I have three AWESOME brothers and they all have AWESOME wives.  Well, two of my brothers came up to Utah over Memorial Day weekend to help us out with the electrical work in our basement.  We are working on getting the basement finished and the electrical was the next step.  It was SO  GREAT to have Aaron & Jodi & Maci and Brant & Kacy & Parker here for five days. My cousin Sam was even here for a day.  Not a day went by though that I didn't wish that Kent & Lisa & kids were here too.  And I called my mom and few times to let her know what fun they were missing out on by not being here either.  I guess the whole family reunion will have to wait until July.  Having so many baby girls in the house was a change but my boys love their sweet little girl cousins and were so sweet to them.  Clara is quickly out growing Parker but I guess that is to be expected with my kids!  I don't have any pictures of my brothers or my basement, but it got done and looks great.  Mark and I can't thank them all enough for coming all the way up here to help us out.

Miss Maci Jo is so darn cute.  Doesn't she look like Minnie Mouse?

 Post piggy tail hair!
LOVE IT!

Hayden doesn't have to do this anymore because school is finally out for summer!!

This is him waiting for his brothers to get home from school.  He would pack up his backpack and give me a kiss goodbye then sit on his bike and wait on the sidewalk for "the bruders" to get home from school.  Thankfully school is finally out and Hayden can play with his bruders all day.

Cameron loves Whales

We don't live anywhere near the southern oceans where the Japanese fish for and kill hundreds of Whales but just in case any of those fishermen come to our house they will know that "Whale Killers are NOT ALLOWED!"

Cameron and I were watching an episode of Whale Wars today and after about five minutes Cam said he didn't want to watch anymore and got up and left.  He then asked me how to spell "allowed".  A few minutes later he was taping this sign to the front door!!  After putting it up he noticed that he had spelled "whale & killers" wrong, but I wouldn't let him change it!  He then came back in and asked me to change the channel.  I love this kid.

4 Months

Clara Jean
4 months old

Getting this sweet baby girl to smile is NO problem, getting her to keep her hands out of her mouth IS a problem.  If she could eat her hands all gone she would.
Not sure exactly what she weighs but my scale says 15lbs.  She goes to the doctor next week so we'll see for sure then.  She is a chubby little thing, I guess my wish to have a little baby isn't going to come true but that's ok I wouldn't have her any other way.
She gives the biggest smiles to her three brothers and her dad, she really loves them.  If a laugh is what you want to hear just play pat-a-cake with her chubby little hands and she will giggle the whole time. It's too cute, even Hayden asks to hear her giggle.
She has almost figured out how to roll over from back to front.  I don't think she actually does it on purpose I think she is just chasing her hands trying to get them in her mouth!  She gets herself turned around 180degreees and I can no longer leave her alone on the bed or couch.
She drools like a champ, I'm starting to wonder if she will get teeth soon.
She sleeps really well too.  She'll go 8 or 9 hours at night and three naps in the day.  (I hope I didn't just jinx myself by saying this!)  I can't believe it's been 4 months since this baby girl was born, time is flying by.
It's finally been nice enough outside the last couple of days that I can actually take her out, she seems to love being outside which is a good thing because we spend lots of time outside in the summer, if it ever gets here!

Look at the rolls on those legs!
