Lots of new posts today.

I am trying to catch up.

Behind is what I get when the weather is great and I have lots of flowers to plant.

So I will probably be behind all summer!

Colby's first Pinewood Derby

I put this post on Colby's blog today but I also wanted to include it on my blog.

Do I really have a child that is old enough to be making Pinewood Derby cars and holding the flag at a flag ceremony? Really do I?

Wow! I guess I do.

I will brag about him though, he is so handsome and did a great job with the flag and the Pinewood Derby. Even though he didn't take first or even second or third he had fun and was a good sport.

After the first race and his car came in second he walked up to Mark and said "huh dad, looks like this car wasn't so fast after all."

Oh gees. What do you say back to that?

Gorgeous Valley in the Spring

When your view is this great it is not such a chore to mow the lawn! Seriously it is so gorgeous here right now. I can almost forget that winter here really stinks. Almost.

Dink WaWa Peas

On Saturday Mark and Hayden and I worked in the yard ALL DAY! All the work is totally worth the effort though. I love all the flowers on my front porch, it makes it such a nice place to hang out.
After all the flowers were potted they needed water. How do you turn on the hose and not expect your 18 month old to want to play with the water? So of course Hayders ended up with the hose. He was so cute trying to get a "dink wawa" he kept missing his mouth and getting the top of his head with the hose. I am just greatful that the days are finally warm enough that he can play in the water, I love it!

This is him holding the hose, not me!!

6 Years Old!

How is this boy already 6? Seriously this has been the fastest 6 years of my life!

Cameron is such a cool kid. He has the greatest personality and sense of humor. His favorite pasttime is quoting movies. You should test him out next time you see him.

Happy Birthday ROONSKI!! We love you lots.

Love this rug

I have been looking for rugs to match my house and need something that will also hide dirt pretty well. After looking and looking and looking and looking and looking.......you get the picture.
I finally found these great braided rugs.
They are made by Capel and come in so many gorgeous colors and sizes. I even found a retailer in Provo.
Yeah!
Can't wait to see them on my floor.

Spring

I like to read this blog, and she asked her readers to post pictures of Spring on May 1st. Yeah, I know it's not May 1st but I was out of town so May 3rd will have to work for me! I do have one confession to make, I took these pictures last year. Spring has been very very late in coming to our town this year, my tulips haven't even opened yet, so, I had to cheat a little!! Hopefully soon there will be Spring here and I can post new pictures.

For all of your thoughts and prayers........

Road to recovery

Cameron went back to the hospital today for his first follow up visit with the Docs there. At first he was excited and wanted to go in using his wheel chair and then surprise them that he didn't need it. When the today actually came, he was adamant about NOT going at all. Mark practically had to carry him to the car. I really think that he was nervous because he thought he was going to have to get a poke. He asked 5000 times if he was going to get any pokes. I actually felt bad for the kid.
The doctors and therapists were amazed at his progress and were very encouraging to Cameron. They all could not believe how fast he has recovered. Not only recovered but really gotten back to normal. He still does not have any reflexes in his arms and legs but his strength is coming back quickly and that is what is important for his recovery. It is hard to look at him and not recognize on a daily basis how blessed he really was. We have since heard some not to great stories about people who have had Gillian Barre' and it is evident that prayers and blessing really do work, and did work for our family.

Cameron's favorite days are rainy days so that he can catch worms. He has had this bowl of worms for a week now and he plays with them everyday! He gives them baths and new dirt and even built them a "Habitat". Thank goodness there is dirt on this earth to entertain boys!

Ode to Hayder Baby

If I thought life was busy with two kids and a baby... two kids and a toddler is WAY more busy! Hayder baby is SO busy, but he is also SO much fun. Right now he is teething and is a SUPER GROUCH. Seriously, the worst teething baby I have had yet. When he is happy though, he is SUPER HAPPY and makes us all laugh. He loves Colby and Cameron and has started calling them both "TAM". He says a whole lot of words and tries to copy everything we say, but our favorite is to ask him a question and have him say, "I don know." Seriously, he says "I don know!"
I am not sure if a child could look more like their father, well ok, my nephew Jaden looks just like my brother Kent so I guess it happens. Hayden is the spittin image of Mark and looks tons like Colby did when he was little.
Phones, remotes, balls, shovels, cookies, books, walks, kids, horses and keys are just a few of Hayder baby's favorite things.
