Have you tried these??

If you have not tried this new flavor of Cheez-It crackers you really really should, they are so so good. They even work great in place of regular Cheez-It's in making Cheez-It Chicken.

Day THREE of the hunt

I don't know how he does it; gets home at 10:30pm totally exhausted having walked 50,000 miles, just to leave again at 4:00am. It must be hunting adrenaline. The weather is not cooperating though. It's supposed to be cold and a little rain would be nice too. When I saw the weekly forecast I was excited to have really nice sunny days, and Mark was totally bummed that it was not 32 and snowing! Maybe today will be the lucky day!

Indian Summer Day

tonight was just beautiful. we sat outside for a couple of hours watching colby and cameron build another bike jump. oh how I don't want these great weather days to end.

DUCT TAPE will work on anything...

How to make a bike ramp using Duct Tape and a three ring binder.

look at all the tape under his bike on the end of the ramp!!!

I think we can add bike ramps to Duct Tape's list of a million uses. When Cameron came in this morning and asked for Duct Tape so he and Jaxton could build a bike ramp, I had to follow him outside to see how they would use the tape. You can't see to well in the pictures exactly what they used to build their ramp so I will describe; a few boards, a white three ring binder, and a sun shade. The ramp started out small and grew as they went adding more Duct Tape each time. Jaxton's mom and I had a good time watching them use their ramp which actually held up pretty well, we told them we were proud of them for using their imagination to which they replied, "we are boys that's what we do!'

9 Months Old

This sweet baby is 9 months old already, and no he does not spend all day in his highchair even though these pictures would lead you to believe otherwise. He does love to eat though and so far the only things he won't eat are graham crackers and bananas, what baby does not like graham crackers and bananas?! Tomorrow he has his 9 month well baby check-up and my guess is that he weighs 23 lbs! The highlight of our day is when Hayden wakes up in the morning, he is so darn happy and just excited to see his brothers, it makes the early mornings so much more pleasant! Cam says, "only 90 more days till Hayden turns one!" Holy Cow where does the time go?
He already knows how to use a calculator, genius baby!

Cameron took this picture. I will have to start posting the pictures that Cam takes, he asks to take pictures almost everyday, some are quite good!

YEP, you guessed it. Mark is gone again, so I Blog again........have a nice night!

Gingerbread Mans can turn ALIVE!!!

find the book here.

In Cameron's class at school, the gingerbread man has been sneaking in their classroom and the kids have to look for him all over the school. Cam said that when his teacher was making gingerbread cookies her husband opened the oven and one of the cookies jumped out and ran away. So Cam talked me into making Gingerbread Man cookies today. He was glued to the oven and kept telling me to open it to see if one would run away. Much to his dismay ONE did not run away, at least while they were in the oven............

When he came in from playing outside, ONE of the Gingerbread Men was missing!!!
Cam -"Mom! there are only three gingerbread mans. OHHHHHH!!!!! Gingerbread Mans really do come ALIVE!" "Colby did you see it jump out of the oven?"

me and colby -"no we didn't see it. colby was in the shower and mom was putting Hayden to bed."

Cam- "well, we better look for it. I will look outside, you guys look in the house." runs outside and asks all the neighborhood kids if they have seen the Gingerbread Man running away!

me and Colby- "we can't find it Cam, lets just get ready for bed."

Cam- "OHHHH, I am not going to be able to sleep thinking about that Gingerbread Man! I wonder where he is?"

Cam- "Oh my gosh, look!!! There he is, ON MY PILLOW!"

mom- "WOW, how in the world did he get there Cameron? I didn't know that Gingerbread Mans really could come alive, but I guess they can, and he knew to come to your pillow!!"

Cam- "OHHHHH!!!! I can't wait to tell Mrs. Winterose that my Gingerbread Man came alive and I found him on my bed. I am going to sleep with him tonight but he will probably run away again and I will have to look for him in the morning! And look at his face mom, his mouth looks a little different, like he has been eating or sleeping or something. OHHH HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, Gingerbread Mans really do come ALIVE!!"
this had to have been one of the cutest things I have seen in my "mom" career. He really truly believes that his Gingerbread Man came alive! Colby was a good sport and played along! Now I guess Mr. Gingerbread Man is going to have to run away again tonight. Hmmmm..... where will he hide this time?

tupperware is 3 for 3

I needed some time today to make my banana bread and Hayden does not like to be more than 5 feet from me at all times, so I set him down in front of this cupboard and he had a blast! So far after three babies, the cupboard with the bowls and Tupperware saves the day, they all love it and get to be close to mom too! Poor little guy though still has a double ear infection and I can tell he does not feel great. He still is a happy little monkey most of the time though.

best banana bread ever

I made this bread today....gonna have to make it again tomorrow because the boys and I ate it all! Seriously so so good. I even added the nuts since Mark is gone and couldn't complain! I left one loaf nut free for the boys, but I love it with the nuts! The recipe calls for Canola oil, but I used Olive Oil instead and it worked just fine and I used Almond Extract instead of Banana Extract(who knew there was such a thing as banana extract?) And I am sure you could use whole wheat flour too, I will have to try that next time. What would we do without Taste of Home, they have the best recipes ever! Seriously you all need to try this one.

CRAZY HAIR!!!!

Hayden having a bath is the family high-light of the day. Colby and Cam love to be in the bathroom and play with Hayden while he is in the tub. Hayden does love the water and usually screams really loud and splashes water everywhere, we all get a good laugh out of it. They especially love to make their hair CRAZY, and with the more hair Hayden gets, the crazier the hair do's get!

Colby is never shy in front of the camera, actually, he's never shy anywhere!
Colby is a really good big brother, he does not leave the house w/o giving Hayden a kiss goodbye! And you can see that Hayden loves Colby too!
Look at the cute baby rolls on this kid! I wish he could stay little forever. He has started to butt heads with whomever is holding him, sometimes though he does it a little to hard and cries! So much personality in this little body, he definitely shows us who's boss around here. And of course we all kiss him and give him whatever he wants, being the baby by 5 years has its perks!

my best babysitter

With Mark gone so much lately, I have enlisted the help of Colby and Cameron way more than before. Cameron is the lucky one who gets to be home with me more than Colby, so most of the help has to come from him. He has learned a lot though, and his baby brother sure loves it when Cameron takes care of him!!
